Pro Ratchet Competition Belt 1.5”

Dial in your rig without tearing it apart. One click tightens the belt a quarter inch. Press the spring-loaded release lever and it lets off just as fast. Your holster and pouches stay planted exactly where you set them, stage after stage.

The buckle is black anodized aluminum with a beveled Black Scorpion logo. Its ratcheting system locks into a 24-tooth track that gives you 6 inches of adjustment in quarter-inch clicks. Add a layer, shed a layer, or crank down tight before the buzzer. You adjust in seconds without unbuckling and without resetting the hook and loop.

This is a two-belt system. The 56” hook-and-loop inner belt anchors to your waist, and the 8mm outer belt locks over it and stays rigid under a loaded rig. That 8mm build is a third thicker than the 6mm straps on the best-known ratchet competition belts, so it holds a holster, mags, and accessories without rolling or sagging. An elastic keeper comes with it to hold the belt tip flat once you’re clicked in.

One size, cut to fit you exactly. No more guessing between a Medium that’s too tight and a Large that’s too loose. Trim both belts to your measurement, clamp the buckle back onto the outer belt with the included Allen wrench, and it’s yours for good. Full sizing instructions are below and take about ten minutes.

Built for USPSA, IPSC, 3-Gun, and Steel Challenge. A note for IDPA shooters: this belt is not IDPA legal. IDPA caps belts at 5/16” thick and requires the belt to pass through your pant loops, and an 8mm dual-belt system does neither. For IDPA, run our Tactical Gun Belt instead.

Before you cut: read this first. Both belts cut to size, inner belt first. Cut long, test, and trim again if needed. A belt cut too long is a five-minute fix. A belt cut too short is done. Uncut belts in original condition are eligible for our standard 30-day return. Cut belts are not returnable.

Part 1: Fit and cut the inner belt (always first, since the outer belt is sized over it)

1. Put the inner belt on at the exact height and over the pants you’ll wear in a match, snug, with the hook-and-loop tab end wrapping over the top.

2. Keep at least 6 inches of overlap where the tab end rides over the belt, so the closure holds.

Mark the excess on the plain end (the end WITHOUT the tab) with masking tape or chalk. First time through, mark 1 inch longer than you think you need.

3. Take it off and cut squarely across the mark with heavy-duty scissors. Never cut the tab end.

4. Put it back on and check the fit: snug, tab fully engaged, overlap still at 6 inches or more. Trim again if needed.

Part 2: Size the outer belt over it

5. With the fitted inner belt on, wrap the outer belt over it and press down so the hook and loop engages, with the buckle centered where you want it. Feed the track end into the buckle and click down until the belt is match-tight.

6. You want the buckle to land near the middle of the track (about 12 clicks / 3 inches in) so you have room to go tighter and looser later. Note how much extra length sits past the buckle clamp on the plain end. That extra is what you’ll remove.

7. Mark the cut point on the plain end with masking tape or chalk, 1 inch longer than you think you need.

8. Take the belt off. Loosen the set screws on the back of the buckle with the included Allen wrench and slide the plain end out of the clamp.

9. Cut squarely across your mark with heavy-duty scissors or a sharp utility knife and a straightedge. Use a lighter on cut end to stop fraying

10. Insert the fresh-cut end into the buckle clamp until it’s fully seated, then tighten the set screws until snug. Do not overtighten or you’ll strip them.

11. Put the full rig on and run the range: click to match-tight, then press the release lever to loosen. If you can’t get tight enough with clicks to spare, trim a little more and re-clamp.

12. Slide the elastic keeper over the belt to hold the tip flat. Done. Both belts are fitted to you from here on.
